Moving / removing the fan

Wanted to gain access to my re-circs today and remember SMW's site having a guide of moving the fan out and up onto the slam panel. I tried this every which way today but couldn't get it past the oil cooler - do Jap cars not have this there hence making it easier or was I just not doing it right?

 

I tried moving the thing every which way I could but it just wouldn't get past it, so gave up and went out for a drive instead.

I used SMW1's instructions too when i fitted mine, mines a jap and after a biit of twisting it will come out all i did was unplug the connecter to it then lifted it out and rested it on the top.

 

Try again mate it will come out!!

don't forget the two bolts at the top, and you can always unbolt the oil cooler, 4 bolts at the bottom if I remember, and then swing it out the way

:slap: doh forgot the two bolts yeah remove these and then twist, it will come out.

they do, just a smaller one :(
