What is called/do and why does it F*** the car up so much when it brakes.

I guess thats either the EGR solenoid, or the AIV solenoid. Something to do with emissions I think.

Yeh, I've looked at that already, but it's not labelled.

If you look left across from the brake fluid resvoir(picture) you can see the black box attached to the side of the engine bay.

 

Thing is we took this off and the car ran better straight away. it was very hard to start before, especially when warm and coughed , spluttered all over the place. So if its the EGR solenoid can we not get shot of it or blank off the the EGR. :)

isn't that the stock boost sensor for the stock boost gauge? Mine's disconnected and no probs found. Make sure that the vac line is blocked though if diconnected, or you'll have a nice air leak ;)

If you block it off does this mean your boost gauge will not work.

If so can try to block off tonight and if Gauge does not work, it will

confirm the Box's purpose.
