I'm up for it,i think 300ZX should get involved in this one,(infact we should get invloved more than we do to promote the club period!)surley we can muster 20 Zs from here,or is that being too optimistic  ,great place for a meet with plenty of action etc,and the cameras will be there :)

p.s wouldnt you have to disable the HICAS to get a zed to drift well??

I've attended most of the D1 events and they're worth watching!

bet its on a saturday.

ive heard hermans car is a bit grubby, maybe he should enter the cleanest car comp. if nothing else just to make sure it gets cleaned.

he says looking out the window and seeing his car covered in dust. both fooking neighbors are having the builders in and all their crap is landing on my fooking car.

Yes and no - drifting is all about slip angle... you just have to remember that the rear wheels are turning relative to the chassis and hence the slip angle is not what you think it is.

HICAS will reduce that when cornering - hence you can corner harder - but will -increase- it when on opposite lock - hence less lock required for the same drift. The better grip from HICAS also means some drift techniques won't work because you can't break grip in the first place. Power-over still works

IOW it still works, but a different balance between lock and throttle is required compared to other cars. This is why people think it's broken - it's not broken, it just behaves differently to a Silvia and therefore confuses the hell out of a person. You need tiny tiny steering motions to correct oversteer compared to a lot of cars.

Z is slightly nose-heavy and tends to understeer which doesn't help either - you can't (or at least I can't) drift it just by carrying a lot of speed into a corner - you have to do something positive to upset the balance.
