Hey Chris check this out;)

As I won't be using any AFM on my Z check out how much shorter the Doolz is without them.

I had a pair of alloy MAF plates made up by Smithy cheerZ fella they work a treat

Just a question Ian, but why are you bothering with the doolz at all, why not just put a filter on each intake pipe?

You still have the balance bar to equalise pressure between banks anyway and the idle air measurement is not an issue with a MAP system.

just an answer John...............................................From a guy that knows more about the Z32 than Nissan themselves:DIMHO!

The cars I have seen (including my own) that have a dual intake and seperate pipes, all idle like crap.

I have made a prototype system myself (from PVC ) that looks similar to the Doolz system and idle is now smooth as silk....

This is because it uses a shared pipe system, which balances airflow between both left and right bank.

Though I haven't seen the doolz system on a car in person yet, I think I can recommend the doolz system over the seperate pipe systems.

Did yer get the little badge inside the box as well fella ?.

Glad it works out for yer.

I have no problem at all with my idle using the JWT twin POP pipework and dual MAF.

This is no dig, just letting other people know the options ;)

Cool, as far as I can tell on mine though the crap idle is due to the MAF not accuratly metering for the air on both banks. Without a MAF you shouldn't have the problem. Might be worth a try when you get it running as even the Dools is still a pressure drop that you might not need.

Yeah Err Macca I reckon we should go for plan B and fit ChrisC's urinal specials, apparently you split the legs apart and it'll produce more than enough dense flow.

Don't worry the EXPERTS are on the case:D

A lot of people would consider John an expert...and it's always good to have an informed alternative viewpoint :)
