Hello guy`s and girl`s. Bit stuck at the mo,was going to go for a K + N but i`ve been told that an APEXi filter is better.

What do you all think.

A'PEXi............

End of.......

IMHO..... :D

Matty.

iv got a JWT, which is a K&N style filter (rebaged?) for the Z32.

no complaints here, there good value, last forever (with cleaning) & you'll be hard pressed to tell the difference between 1 performance filter & another on the road IMO.

;) out of those 2 Apexi.....but then again i went for the Blitz.....:D

Matt

Its not the performance you need worry about so much as the filters ability to "filter". Apexi were good, and if I remember blitz were bad.

APEXi every time. Bloody superb!! Sound good and really improve the mid-range.

Give Danny @ DTA motorsport (see traders section) a call if you want one you won't be disappointed. ;)

Cheers

Most aftermarket filters will give similar power gains as each other. As mentioned earlier it's the ability to filter out crap from inducted air that differs between brands.

From tests in Japanese car mags (I downloaded one from the Mk3 Soop 'site when I owned one) HKS, Trust and most other foam filters were fekking rubbish and let all kinds of crap into the engine. Blitz were OK, K&N were very good but Apexi came out excellent. For the money the Apexi is the way to go - cheaper than a K&N IIRC and better filteration quality

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Courtesy are doing JWT filters for $109!! ;)

Badbry -

I've still got 2 A'PEXi's left - £100 + £5 postage. For the money you won't find a filter with better filtration and flow-through properties and performance gain. Let me know if you want one.

Cheers!

Cheer`s for that Danny mate. But i managed to get my hand`s on 1 from ebay last night. I should have waited now.

But cheer`s any way.

Before yer end up with something that may be no use mate, most i've seen on ebay are universal and do not fit the Zed without a MAF plate being made up, if it was Zed specific then fair enough, it was a case of "just in case"

Related but not related- why would anyone buy a wet filter with the problems of it fuzzing up and clogging the Air flow metre when surely a dry filter is better, or can't you actually get a wet filter any more, or am I talking through a hole in my bum again.

The Apexi i`m getting is the 507-N009.I`ve managed to get him to knock the price down a bit.Hooray.

I'm a JWT guy
