Buying Stateside

Have any of you out there bought anything from the states, is it straightforward or are there hidden charges or pitfalls?

Import duty - 10% (ish)

(Illegitimi non carborundum)

Fox example, on my $110 order from Courtesy, I got £26 import/admit costs from FedEx (Thought I'd got away with it too, but no, the invoice had just ended up with the boss! Oops)

Depends largely on weight aswell, I got my Techtom and an ASP underdrive pulley shipped together from GR Racing(Phuong) and robbed them(Govt) for a change. Didn't get that heavily stung! wink.gif

But with my Brake kit...hmmm...that was a little bit different coz of the 71lbs weight factor. Still worth it in my opinion though.

But sometimes you gotta go with the "over the pond" order especially if you want a Navan Auto-Shifter or a Techtom coz you won't find them over here...trust me, I've looked everywhere!!!
