I haven't seen either film and don't want to. Who really gives a sh1t if there's a Z or a Vulcan Bomber in Nasty and spurious 3, 4, 5, or 6.

 

I drive a Z because I like it.

If you look at the special features the atricle which inspired the film was about a Mitsubishi Starion racing a 300ZX. If you look at the special features of the computer animation of the first street race you will notice that Dom's car is a 300ZX and not a RX-7 like it was when the film was shot.

 

The cars where also chosen from car magazines purely on the their looks. I dont think there are many 300ZX owners who put nasty stickers on their cars, under car neons and huge spoilers, so they didnt pick any.

No one, apart from us lot, know how wicked a TT ZX is! It’s a forgotten motor, every one knows about a skyline or Toyota Supra, but you mention 300 ZX, and you get "who makes them?" :confused:

 

This affects the price of Z's, it's not because they are crap (because they are not) it's because no one knows what they are.

 

But if you get a 300 ZX TT, in a film, driven by Vin Diesel, I guarantee the price of Z's will go up! :)

 

What's the price of an M plate supra? What’s the price of an M plate 300ZX? It’s got nothing to do which is best; we all know that the engineering is far superior to the Supra, so why does every one pay twice as much for one? Vin Diesel's your answer!

I think the sound of a 300zx was dubbed over one of the cars in 2F2F but I can't remeber which.

I think 300's are looked upon as classic cars by most people now along with the 280's 240's etc. This is the reaosn they don't show up in many car films :(

I've played that game, and I always pick the Z! Even computer programmers know how good they are, but they ALL live with their mums, never go out and have no friends, So again, the word has NOT been past on! :mad:

 

But worse still, that game is getting a little old now; the latest game is called Race Driver 2, you race against other people on line. My cousin asked me to "hook up" for a race, he said, "You can pick ANY car" So I said I'll go for a Z then, but then I was told that there's NO Z! :mad: but you can pick a skyline!! :mad: :mad:

 

I decided NOT to play the game!

the inspiration for the film was due to a real life 300ZXTT street racer in the USA.

 

Ironic no 300s were in the film ! (except briefly in opening titles apparently)
