Well my first full tankfull made no difference whatsoever to the mpg and no discernible difference to performance - it just cost more and it was a pain to find. I'll continue to use it for about a month just to give it a chance and then decide. Maybe it's just a 'track day' fuel rather than every day.

Make a difference to anyone else ?

Maybe it only makes a difference for the more highly tuned engines and when they're driven harder than just in daily traffic ?

I'll publish my fuel consumption figures sometime soon and you can judge for yourselves. (If anyone wants a copy of my noddy fuel calculating spreadsheet then let me know).

Oh no Dave fancy selling your z!

When you said you raced Craig,is there much differance between Z and TVR?

They were neck and neck. Swapped lead on gearchanges but couldn't have been closer. Great fun ! The Z would have higher top speed due to better aerodynamics and higher gearing.

Handling on TVR is quite a bit more solid and very different type of power delivery.

And then there's the noise !!!!

But I still think the Z is great.

Dave

Cheers for that Dave TVR [RESPECT]

I have not raced one yet but hope to soon.

for some reason, insurance for a tvr chimaera (excluding the 5.0) would be cheaper than a z for me.

i can't work out insurance companies (other than that they want all my money) ...
