It's true, football sucks!

the players (ake millionaires paid to act dramatic when they get into some sort of body contact with opponents) are rubbish, but the sport is great fun to watch (aka sit in front of the telly with some friends having a few beers or at the local pub).

I dont watch any sport on TV apart from World Superbike. :)

 

Have to say thought it was out of order that Foggy was four times worl champion as an individual, yet David Beckham is a superstar, and the team he plays for hasnt won anything on the world stage since 1966.

We are world champions in the only game that matters, rugby.

 

I don't know much about footie,

but i do think Heskey is a liability. He made a clumsy tackle to give them a free kick and then gave them the ball back which lead to the through ball and penalty (this is not my own words but have been taken from a speech made by my mate, another Ron Manager type, after the game)

 

Two things to improve football, 1 stop the diving and rolling around, this is cheating and 2 players should give the ref the sort of respect a rugby team does. The jostling and mouthing off has to stop, the trouble is it is deep routed in the game and kids who grow up watching their heros playing like that think its ok and do it themselves.

 

Football is the "emperors new clothes" of sport, the fans follow it un questioningly, and always expecting to win everything, they cannot see it for what it is and will often come away from a nil all win and think they have just watched a great game.

 

Wake up you have just let 90 mins of your life slip by, paid £40 for the privledge and not actully seen anything happen.

I enjoy the England games but other than that I've never watched a match for more than 5 minutes.

All the bike racing that was on this weekend was TOTALLY AWSOME!! did you see the Moto GP?!?! Rossi shows he is still GOD on 2 wheels! :cool: World Superbikes was INSANE! Lap after lap of lead changes and fairing bashing! Even British Superbike was crazy, especially with Emmet being a dumbass on the last corner of the last lap! :slap: :rofl:

 

Makes all the other 'big' sports look dull and stupid! :p

TBH, this weekends round was the exception. Most of the WSBK season has been so poor, it's tragic. Good to see Moley Vermuleun and Nitro Nori go toe to toe. Shame the attendance was so piss poor - 60,000! Cough, cough!

 

BSBK on the other hand is going from strength to strength. Come on JR! Kick that northern monkey Rutters arse!

What I never understood too was if someone shares your hobby and lives in a nearby town and you're both out enjoying your hobby (ie watching a football game), you glass them in the throat, then kick them in the stomach till blood comes out of their ass.

There are some that claim Champions League football is a HIGHER standard than national teams. I personally agree - ergo Beckham has won shedloads of significant trophies.

Totally out of context that a footballer earns more in a week than, say, a heart surgeon earns in a year. In fact, for his faults (ie I hate him ;) ) even the prime minister takes a year to earn what Beckham can in a couple of weeks - and Blair has the responsibility of running the country. :mad:
