just been caning along the M1 at about 70 (give or take...) and noticed a strange springy/knocking noise that seemed to come from slightly behind the glove box (but still inside the car)! The noise happens intermittently every 2 or 3 secs, and only after a certain speed (75ish). This happens on a straight flat road at constant speed! I know my front tension rod bushes are boogered but i couldnt feel any bump etc. in the car or steering wheel. (and no there's nothing loose in my glove box! :) ) any ideas?

Aah, it will be an asbestos hamster, they are meant to be in the exhaust, not the glovebox. :)

There's bot much behind the glovebox, only maybe the heater matrix.

Could it be an airlock or something?

One of the control arms may have come off one of the heater flaps allowing the flap to flap around LOL I think the proper term for them is doors :)
