having removed the front and rear screens for a respray i thought it nice to renew the rubber trim around the windscreen!!

 

or so i thought i had a quote from the main stealers and just for the one strip across the top of the rear screen was...... hold your breath... £156 :shock:

 

needless to say the old strips will have to go on, how on earth can they charge so much :o

have you thought of importing from the states, or ordering through Mike Feeney (MJP)?

Doesn't the stip go all the round the rear screen as 1 piece. I didn't reliase it was split into sections

I bet you could get a hold of a rubber moulding company to copy & reproduce a one off for less than that!

Sounds familier. Only went in there once, and they didnt know their ass from their elbow, so went to a guy round the corner in a pokey oll garage. Sorted at a 10th the price. And a big patty on the back for Mr Mike Feeney for getting all the parts at a price that didnt send shivers through the national economy
