Folks,

Can anyone tell me where I can get hold of a (very specific) length of rubber hose?

The small hose that feeds my (stock) boost gauge has split. It's connected to a pipe coming from the passenger side of the engine bay, and fits into the underside of a small black box on the driver's side towards the windscreen. It's only a small pipe, but without it my boost gauge just sits in the middle.

It's split and been cut so many times that it just won't reach any more, and I need a new one.

I tried Halfords and Homebase with no luck. I'm about to try AndyZ. Any other suggestions? Mike Feeney?

Lemme know,

Russ.

Try a local motor spares/trade type shop.

They should have some vacuum hose in that size.

You might even find something similar in a pet shop aquarium.

Halfords etc just keep the common fuel and water type hose.

The same hose went on mine a few months ago. As an emergency repair i used a length of washer jet pipe from Halfords. i know its not the same thickness as vacuum hose but the diameter was right.

anyways cos it was such a short length of pipe it seems to work fine.boost gauge reads ok(as well as a stock boost can), no air leaks etc, so 'forgot' about it till now!!!

Thanks! That'd be great.

I'm in Wood Green/Bounds Green - just behind Alexandra Palace.

Cheers,

Russ.
