Anyone have any ideas to as what could be the cause?? front lights work so do the brake lights...

ive checked for fuse's etc but no joy. also the warning buzz that tells you that your lights are on when the door is open doesnt seem to work either...so obviously im assuming its related....

hi Jaz,

I have got the exact same problem. But the fuse (third from the left) top row keeps blowing, as soon as I put a new fuse in.

Hi Alastair,

mate ive checked that exact same fuse but seems to be ok... so reckon it may have short from somewhere else...its really doin my nut it now...

Had the same probs mate its the fuse down in the drivers foot well check that its the right rating, then check all the bulbs and the earth connections in the rear lights for corrosion or dodgey fillerments

in the boot mate drivers side tucked away behind the rear mouldings.

Check the multiblock connectors around/behind the footwell fusebox. I had a similar problem a while back and it just turned out to be a loose connection.

Ok Andy bud i think you maybe onto something there mate! as my alarm unit is placed around there and it always bloody falling down and me being a twat, havent ever bothered to securely fix it up there and end up stuffing the damn thing..lol so il check that tmrw...

ive checked the fuses and that specific one seems ok, like JD pointed out the ratings fine...

been looking on the online manual trying to trace the wiring to tail lights and it seems to go everwhere..to dimmer switch, dash meter/clocks, rear sensor, relays..etc etc...jus hope it aint shorted anywhere behind the dash....

cheers fellas

Mine shorted out behind the stereo. If you have put an aftermarket head unit in this is worth checking

Just remembered what mine was now some 1 had fooked the wiring loom to the clock on the centre consol and left a bare wire, that was shorting out! causing the fuse to blow

Got them working!! bad earth....thanks for the info guys.:)

Mine was blowing because of the loom for the stereo as well, as I did not wire up the DVD monitor wrong :slap:
