Straight forward question.................... Do you??

I dont see it as perverted, sad or any of the other derogertory terms used. I use them, and have fun, i find it a good laugh and fun way to chill out in the evening after a day at work, without vegitating infront of the TV.

So come on, who else uses them................................... Please give your views.

I met my partner by using a chatroom ICQ as I recall. Still together after three years so that can't be bad .... LOL

Problem is all the fVcking d1ckheads it attracts.

I used to use Yahoo chat about 6-7 years ago. And to be honest you knew most people on there and it was such a good laugh (like this place) but as all things good, it got too popular and then went rapidly downhill.

I don't bother now, just use forums.

Yeah had some fun on PalTalk while I was at my Brothers, made some friends on there! But be careful you aren't being groomed by a kiddy fiddler. :)

I've been using various things along those lines for about 10 years now... but not v often these days. Like most things, once they get popular they go downhill. I "knew" some really good people on IRC but Yahoo just does my head after half an hour. Problem is it's not like a pub... 40 people in a pub and you can choose who you talk to... 40 people in a chat room and you have to listen to everyone - and 39 of them will be racists, sex pests of one kind or another, or idiots.

It was quite good when I first moved down here and didn't know many people - but as soon as my "real" social life picked up I pretty much stopped using them. Cynical, but there you go. :D

irc yeah... others bleh! :)

You gotta be carefull because 19 year old Samantha could really be 65 year old George wearing black stockings with his knob in hand

I know a girl who makes a fortune 'cammin', she goes on faceparty and advertises with her msn login and you should see how many young lads are scrambling to pay her through paypal for some webcam action. She can make £100 in a couple of hours no problem.

If I had been a woman I would be a right slut and use it to make my fortune no problem

I see a pattern forming here, and it's exactley what I was expecting.

I'm a co-owner of a community on MSN, and run a chat room on ukchatrooms.net. It's an 18+ site/room, and it isn't easy to spot the under ages, as it isnt easy to spot the liers either. You have to take people on face value, and work from there. It's an adult room, so we expect near the knuckle conversations, we have a quiz bot running all the time, if people want to have personal conversations, it's entierly up to them, no-one can stop that from happening, and I wouldnt want to. I've met some of the people that chat in our room, and they are a nice bunch, no sign of any perverts or weido's.

I know of other rooms and communities that do have problems................. you pays-your-money-and-takes-your-choice (so-to-speak ;) )

Hello Sailor :slap: :nono:

Go to the pub mate they have proper chat rooms there, with real people and real women :duffer: :D :hyper:
