Looks nice and shiny, plus it will do a job too and hopefully improve the handling a bit.

I'll post some pics when I can be ar5ed to go back outside as it was a bit of a pain in the backside to fit with smithy's braided fuel lines (the hole for the fuel line is about 20mm too far down, a bit a file is called for ;) so it's the brace I'm blaming not Smithy!! ) and you have to 'lose' the bracket for the Cruise Control and locate it just off centre to where it was!

But it's all fitted now and I'm happy with my efforts. :duffer:

I'll do the rear one this weekend!! ;)

Here's some pics of the brace I've put on my Z, looks nice and after going for a spin I can say it makes a difference, feels more solid around the bends and there seems to be a lot less flex than before.

(Well I guess it does it's job then!!) ;)

You can see on one pic where I had to cut and file the hole to accept the Smithy Fuel line, due to the hole being to low (roughly 20mm) and the last pic is a nice shot of the rear (love them 99 specs, that's for you Rich...LMAO!) :D

He's some pics.......(no more waffling on!)

Matty.

Nice one.

It does make a difference with the brace on. There was a poll on 300zxclub.com wether they actually did something or just for looks. How you can say the dont do anything is a mystery.

Matty, I have the same strut brace on the front. Do you have any problems with it catching the hood ?.

In a couple of weeks look for indentations in the middle of the brace and let me know.

Thanks

nice one mate

where did you buy it from

looks great

I put red felt marker on the underside of the bonnet inline with where it would catch.......dropped the bonnet and closed it, lifted it and checked the brace for red marks. I couldn't see any so I'm guessing it's okay and just clear of the bonnet.

I'll still look out for dents, etc over the coming and let you know if I find any.

Steve I got both front and rear from Danny @ DTA (Traders Section) both very nicely put together and look good too, and on top of that after going for a spin they work well and you can feel the difference with it fitted.

I must say it's one of my favourite mods, just got to fit the rear one this weekend and see how that feels. :)

If you have narks on either strut brace or bonnett then the brace is flexing. If its flexing it aint doing its job other than bling factor. That looks like the one's Luke used to do, but he stopped for that reason.

Well after giving it some around islands and corners yesterday evening I checked and have no nicks, nacks, narks, dents, dings, pings, marks or spots so I think for now it's doing it's job....

....mind you, only time will tell!!

Matty.

it took about 3 months for a a mark to appear on mine.

Could that be down to engine mounts giving a little???

Oh and Matty, very nice colour Zed mate, u just need some nice pipes for the back!

That would make sense as I only had new ones about 8 months ago. The strut brace was fitted just before the new mounts went on.
