Does anyone know if my third party fire and theft cover will cover me on this type of incident???

nope, it wont, unless the damage was caused by someone trying to steal the car or something in it. Then you can try and argue with them about....

 

ask around the area for witnesses, and check if you have uninsured loss recovery legal aid with your policy, it's normally an extra 15 quid or so when you take the policy out.

I'm afraid Craig is right about the third party insurance - I've had the same experience a year or so ago.

There was a zed being broken up for spares in the for sale and wanted section of the forum. He may still have some of the parts you need to repair your Zed. Pray for CCTV in the carpark. If you can see his number plate on video, then you should be in luck. Your IC will be able to contact the other IC and come to a quick resolve - especially if the van was covered by company insurance.

Yes but you don't know who the third party was.. That only works because your ins co can recover their losses from the third parties insurance company.. In this case there is no third parties insurance company, so it would have to come from yours..

 

your ins co will only pay out like that if you are fully comp..
