Which forum members zed do you like the most? Or a top few?

Cant offer much in the way of help but I sure can offer words of encouragement.

 

Keep up the good work mate, I can see myself being like you, owned the zed for about 15 months so far, spent sh1tloads, and the cost does really hurt, but I will have a zed to remember when I am done......alike yours I am guessing......

Yeah I spent £6K on kit and mods at the end of 2002 and I've probably spent the same again on getting it back on the road.

There was no way after putting all that money and work into it I was going to sell it and lose out bigtime!

I couldn't afford to pay someone to do an engine rebuild and manual conversion so I decided to do it myself and buy uprated stuff while I was at it.

 

To be honest, splitting up from my ex and daughter then having to move out and buy back my house whilst trying to keep my failing business going was the biggest problem to me getting it sorted!

Could have done with the money but selling a knackered Z I'd have been lucky to get £3K for it all and I think I'd have lost about £12K so I had to keep it.

It will come in handy for pulling now too :D ;)

 

Anyway, I've been spending on it bit by bit and it's almost ready to return, bigger and better than it ever was.

This is suprising :hyper: nice to see mine mentioned a few times :D I find mine like marmite some ppl love it but others hate it, which is cool!

 

Unfortunately like Chris mine is now gonna be off the road for a while due to financial constraints but something might come along in the pipeline. Can't wait havent driven mine since september last year.

 

My favorites are:

ChrisC (Nice kit, mods and colour)

Mac1/TimmyTub tied with SMW1 (respect for amount of work on mods and looks)

Lack300 (interior)

Topless (amount of work and convertible)

CrazyEddie (Wolf in sheep's clothing)

 

Also like Markzx's, Warren's old car (is it cj now?), the yellow pps one (sorry forgotten name) and Duffs for engine work, tubs and wheels.

 

Probably forgotten some but you get the gist. oh and looking forward to seeing Sgt c's when finished by PPS

 

Edit forgot DaveW - His car started me on the whole WW rear bumper - nice motor.

Kash's car is nice but I think it was finished a couple of years ago.

It's had too many tacky bits added recently from what I've seen.

Half the trick with designing a good car is knowing when to stop.

And I think its time we had a word with Luke and asked him to stop selling wide arches. Now that the "higher class" of Zed owners have them fitted, we dont want the image ruined by the more common unsophisticated Zed owner clagging them on :tongue: :D

Can I just add a dissclaimer here.....................

 

My previous post is in no way exhurstive, but as I havent seen many members cars, I cant say for certain. I know of quite a few Zed's in here that look fantastic in the photo's, James300, SMW1, ChrisC, Herman's engine bay :x: ;)............. the list goes on.

 

Bring them on to Billings and let me see them :D

* TONYC for having a properly mapped well running car

* MARKZX because it's shiny and blue and he drives it properly and he's shared my black smoke everywhere at 60mph pain

I haven't seen enough members cars in the flesh to coment though I was impress by a good few of the ones I have seen. what I do like is that most are different. So even though their all the same model most have their owners mark which is cool.

However - I would like to see Faisal's when it's complete.

MartinFas --- Best looking

MAC --- Its gonna be crazy

Bee Gee Vinz ---Engine bay

Marshall2702 --- My favourite with standard body, nice wheels, nice bay

Lack300 --- Very nice, Best front bumper, very nice interior, not too much

Mine --- I own it

 

Ultimately, MartinFas car with Macs power, Bee Gee Vinz engine dress up, Lack 300s interior (but grey), and owned by me.

 

Never seen any of these in the flesh though and may well change my mind at billing.

Cant honestly say of the members cars I have seen, in the metal and in the rides section that any one car is the best. They are all z's after all and i mean how do you top that??

Gotta be the MAC mobile. Best colour, wide arse, manual (now), sweet interior and soon to be packing some serious BHP! Only thing I'd change is the bumpers (IMHO).

OK this is over a year old, but I was on a search when i came across this and had to give my tuppence worth. Some of the members on this thread don't seem to be here anymore, making way for new ones.

 

As I've not seen any of the cars in the flesh i'm going on pics only.

 

No.1 Greg. subtle external mods.

 

No.2 Sgt. C. not sure about the pink seats but the rest looks stunning.

 

No.3 Legrath. Looks 100% stock and will always look brand new.
