Having just done my Kmh-Mph converstion, thought I'd go through all the hassle of stripping down my instrument cluster again to fit some white dials...

Have ordered them from NR Autos at $149 + $43 postage ... seemed to be the cheapest so far...

Will photo the install for anybody who's interested.

Is there any way of changing the colour of the dash lighting? The white lighting is very boring...Blue would look good!

You could colour paint the dash bulbs with blue bulb varnish or cut some blue gell (available from most good lighting shops) to fit behind the dials. The slightly blue tint is produced by a coating on the rear of the dials. Don't know if it would be bright enough afterwards ?

It can be done by getting some little caps that go over the bulbs, i`ve done mine in blue and they look alot better.

Have you got the white dial faces with the blue bulbs,or is the dash original?...Also,where do you get the caps from?(When I changed a blown bulb on my old Z31,there were orange caps on the bulbs)

Bob - where would I get these little caps from?

Or do I go out and buy a box of quality street? 8)

Jez,

It's the same as the red and green caps I got with my autometer boost gauge!

You can get LES lamp covers from Maplins

I think they need trimming slightly as they're designed to fit into a panel.

Part code for blue:YY01, 35p each

bob .. you know of a better solution ?
