There's me going on about how wonderful my new digital camera was when I bought it, when 2 weeks ago, whilst on the way back from Ireland, I lost it in transit. And to add to it, my house insurance doesn't cover me for items away from the house.

Looks like I will be shopping for a camera again but this time, a mate of mine at work has a Casio Z4 or summat. Nice piece of kit with a lithium battery. Much better than AAA's.

The search goes on.

Hi Cos,

Did you buy it by credit card? if so you'll have insurance with them ;)

Failing that, tell the insurance company it ended up in the wheely bin by mistake when you were having a clean-out. You'll be covered for that kind of accident I reckon

I already tried to call and say that I had lost them in transit. That's when they gave me the bad news. but I am going to look in to your idea Vijay.

Thanks

I've got the Casio EX-Z3 (only Z3 I'll ever own, I can assure you) and it's fookin mint, can't fault it. It'll let you do most things manually if reqd which is often helpful (esp white balance) but will have a fair guess itself if you prefer. Some sample pics on http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~zevans if you're interested!

Well if its any consolation, I lost my watch last sunday!! Well peed off!!!! :(:(

Zevans,

It's funny you should mention that. A friend at work has the Z4. Amazing piece of kit and not too dear either.

I just bought a casio exilim ex-s20 it's 'only' 2mp but is minute & it is ace, just used it on my hols in SA and I really couldn't be happier! it's the same size as a credit card and 10-12mm thick.

battery life is stunning (rechargeable)
