Weird one this

 

Start car in the morning tis fine

 

Drive to work again tis fine

 

But.....stop car let it tick over for a few minutes and starts to smoke from o/s zaust! rev engine and all clears ...leave for 10 mins still nothing!

 

Last night had to call out to an employee of ours who snapped key off in van door.

 

Thought great all dual carriage way nice run out, driving along all fine get to 130 mph still perfect no smoke at all.

 

But get to a roundabout and stop [as you do] and thought the car was on fire!!!!!!! blue smoke coming out same side.

 

Rev car up smoke clears and again no probs!!!!!!!!!

 

any of you guys any answers.

 

The car was decatted 100 miles ago and has 64300 on the clock........but turbos replaced 15,000 miles ago [albeit in 1999]

TBH mate that does sound like your rear tub seals , the reason they do not smoke under throttle is because you are producing back pressure, when your at tickover there is very little back pressure so oil seeps past the seal , the fact that you decatted will mean that there is even less back pressure making the problem worst

Thanks Ryan did not want to here that! only decatted because turbos have not done many miles.....live and learn

I have the same problem my turbos where replaced about 16,000 miles ago,

how hard is it to replace these seals?
