after looking in rad noticed rusty crappy looking water probably not been changed for 10yrs lol

 

found it easier to remove the radiator itself,that way you can tip it up and flush all the s**t out of the bottom,as iwas replacing the viscous fan it made it easier to remove with rad at same time! ba**ard to get off,had to crank the engine to get to the underside of the nuts,big thankyou to smw1[stu] for the viscous coupling,she aint whinning anymore bud!.

 

to top it off though,i noticed one of the ancillary belts was warping over the side,after i put the rad back in and attached all the pipework,dident want to have to pulll it back out to slacken off the tension,so got 2 large pry hooks and after loosing skin off my knuckles managed to get it back on phew. :D

 

now there is only 62 jobs to do on the zed :rofl:

 

its nice to be able to do some jobs yourself rather than £35 p/h labour from a mechanic ;)

Yes, and when the jobs go smoothly without any problems, I get a lot of satisfaction out of it
