Having spent half an evening with Matty lad and hearing his recent account of selling his car, we went for a drive in the rain (nothing new there then)soooo..

1# Start car,imediately settles to nice bubbly tickover.

2# Select reverse and the auto box responds smoothly.

3# A full turn on the steering wheel and the power assist quietly manouvers the wheels around.

4# Select drive and power away,with smooth changes between gears.

5# Sitting comfortable, clad in leather seats I viewed the smart stereo.

6#Having completed our journey Matty skillfully parralell parked (Still had to catch bus to the kerb lol)

7# 3.0 V6 continued to tick over smoothly and then switched off....silence. lock car and walked away...???

 

Has any one a comment? seems some have,

Ok it was not manufactured yesterday not saying it was, but I have had two of these babe`s and worked on more than i care to remember, so how much do you pay??? there is no set prices any more the second hand car market is a mess.What though we do noT need is self appointed patanising saints of car values, pulling down the whole market,I have seen some mega sheds and believe me I would not put my name near any of them but Matty you keep plugging for that sale and wait for a real enthusiast who can enjoy the grin factor for what it is without getting insulting. Dodgy Propshaft..MY ARSE!!!

 

 

Look, I'm not complaining here!

The car I'm sure is in good mechanical nick.

Especially considering it has a new gear box and turbo's etc!!!!

 

But how do you explain the rumbling at the rear just on pick-up from stationary, I only suggest he should get it checked out.As in previous posts here... sounds like the propshaft!

 

Matt just get it checked out,I'm sure it doesn't cost that much to have someone look at it!

 

And as in previous posts, I wasn't out to rip you off or such like... just a simple fact that, with the stuff that I pointed out, (you heard the clicks and the rumbling from rear (propshaft) we didn't even enter into a discussion about money.

 

Look people once again, I'm no blowin trying to stir things up... I've been through enough heartache with mine, power steering leaks, back of a towtruck twice... getting an alarm put in was a nightmare, there's no room under the hood for a decent sized horn etc etc etc...

 

Guys give me a break, definitely nothing personal, for your info bought my 300 from the Toystore in July '99 + lost it May 2001.

Spent ages in '99 finding the right one and I succeeded.

If matey is a bona fide buyer and looking for a pukka zed (and not some joker from the CorsaSport forum) then I have to say fair play to him.

He came to look at Matty's Zed and chose not to buy.

Not once have I seen on 300zx.co.uk 'matey' dissing Mattys Zed and saying it is a pile of shit - which I am sure it aint

But what I have seen is alot of forum members bleating and being real nasty to this fella. Come on fellas keep it real eh? I remember having all sorts of bother finding my car and took a real risk paying out 8.5k to Chris F and not checking it at all - turns out that my car is 100% pukka and worth every penny but lets not give someone like matey a hard time just coz he didnt buy Mattys car.

And i will also add that if it hadnt been for 300zx.co.uk I wouldnt have my car.
