G'Day, just bought a 300ZX TT 1990 (import) ... just got it registered last friday in time for the Modified Nationals show... on the way down the rear felt very unsteady.. a lot of sounds coming from the rear end...upon arriving at the show I checked the rear driver wheel... the car had dropped and was next to no room at all between the tyre and fat arch bodykit...bits of melted tyre all around the arch...

As the weekend went on...I took everything out of the boot weight wise...seemed a little better.. then when I tried to go home...the rear was sooo shakey and yet again making a bit of noise.. so called out the AA to tow me the 200 miles home

Not sure if this has anything to do with it....but there is a light coming on called "HICAS" which stays on all the time... the car was lowered when it came out to uk...has rear arch and skirt kit on it... is running on 45/255/17 on split rims..

Any ideas?......broken spring?...shocker packed it in?.....or is it the HICAS playing up? any advice more than welcome...as this is my 1st 300ZX

Its either too low, tyre too wide, or suspension sagged or damaged. It wont be HICAS - check your power steering fluid level for that one.

Is the HICAS light meant to be on in the dash? Cheers for that... will take it to be looked at tomoz..

Have just noticed the wheel is wobbling as the car moves... think the bearing might be the problem. Thanks for the advice.. will check the fluid level in the morning

Are the wheel nuts tight? lol

Wheel buckled from large pothole?
