its sunday and im not going to mess with the big silver annoyance (my Z) today.

does anyone know where to look for some nice bits?

im looking for tasty bits to look at and mayb to buy.

when i say tasty i dont mean to dress it up. i mean to make it go fast and not break.

things like competition valves/cams/turbos/crank/stronger bearings, etc?

anybody got contacts for convertions to roller bearings an other usefull stuff?

like i said, not interested in dress up. just strong power :dance:

How much are you looking to spend? I have spent £4000 on a parts for my car and I could have gone a lot more expensive. :(

well i havent really had a max spend in mind but i havent got a lot of money so if stuff gets expensive its just gonna have to take a bit longer. im happy enough to wait and pay for the right stuff.

when it goes back together i want a lot of power (im thinking at least 700bhp) so if it takes time and money thats ok.

not bothered about lag or fuel economy, etc. just raw power and reliability.

You are best looking at the traders then. You will need new pistons and conrods, turbos, dual pop, larger injecors, agressive cams, new vavle springs, maybe larger valves, to name just a few parts.

 

Most of them you would be able to get from the traders.

sounds good to me. if i have to replace every part in that engine i want it right. like i said, i havent got much money but i dont mind waiting/saving. its 13yrs old now so its lost all the money it will. might aswell have some fun.

Most internal parts will beet to be changed. The crank is very strong and that should be OK, but getting it lightened and balanced would be nice :D

You might get 400, but more likely to be high 300's at the crank!

i want the crank lightened/balanced but i also want the crank, pistons, conrods, etc matched and balanced. also i want them to run on a complete roller bearing bottom end. i have faith in roller bearings to take huge power reliably. for now im just looking around at whats possible without spending silly money.

i'd like it to be a bit "old school" in terms of engine tuning/layout.

big turbo/s and strengthen everything. not too bothered about all the electrickery for this and that. a lot of it is not useful anyway. like the EGR valve..... useless poo. lol

Could you spare £20 out of the small fortune you are going to spend on the 700bhp monster to join the club ;)
