Not many people use them as there daily motor due to the fact that they cost too much on a daily basis. Some people do tho. They are quite good on fuel on the motorway IF you keep the speed down, altho you cant resist the boost..

cheerz,mickey

If you buy a good one there is no reason why it shouldn't be reliable for an every day driver. It is a Nissan afterall. But you must remember these are complex supercars which are at least 10 years old so things are going to break eventually - hence the reason to get a good one

the only downside is the running cost. You'll get through fuel like fat birds get through cake  I use mine every day (mixed dual c'way and urban) and see an average of 18mpg, but I don't care. I bought the car to drive, not look at. You'd be better off keeping the car fairly standard for that kind of use, as the cars which have been heavily modded seem to be less reliable.

the other cost will be oil - change it every 3-4000 miles using a good fully synthetic

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I use mine every day, mainly on fairly short journeys with the occassional motorway escapade and no problems. I do take it on a weekly jaunt of about 80 miles round trip on the road down to Lanark and open her up a bit though. I personally feel they need it.

Use mine every day, good job I have a car allowance which covers the petrol!

I do Reading to Slough every day and putting nearly £60  in it a week and I aint got an allowance :(

I use mine every day, 50 miles every ay and it's fine. I rarley use it's potential and tend to cruise most of the way at 80mph, and I get about 20mpg out of it. Not great economy, but it's just such a nice car to drive, will do the slow cruising comofrtably and just happens to go like sh1t off a shovel too :D

It may be over 10 years old, but so far it feels like it'll last a lot longer than my previous V6 Vauxhall Calibra (which is for sale by the way!)!!!

They certainly do, Gordon. These are high performance cars so driving them gently all the time and stifling the power can't be good for the engine....

.....I find if I give a really good blast every couple of weeks (say hard accelleration from 80 to about 130+ and hold it for a few miles - private test track of course  :nono: ) the car runs noticeably better

If you have a bit of mechanical knowledge it helps too otherwise you'll be taken to the cleaners for the smallest problems that will become blown out of proportion.

I've had 3 and a half years so far, no big problems other than 18mpg and decent high mileage well looked after car. Heck for the same cost I could not even have run a new vectra for 3 years and I know which I'd rather drive. A high fuel consumption less than £1000 per year depreciator work of art or a low fuel consumption prozacmobile that loses £3-4000 a year just parked outside your house - what would you rather have parked outside your house?

No contest

Anyway if you are really gentle with it it will do 26mpg or more but if you have blood in your veins you wont resist its charms - it'll make you smile tho.

Use mine everyday and love it. As everyone else says, the only problem you get is fuel consumption but what 3 Ltr V6 doesn't?? Going fast is great  but cruising is even better because people get a chance to see what your actualy driving. Don't know if there are many Z's that stick at 60 though LOL. My opinoin is that the cost of parts are mainly on par with any other sort of car of this standard. As they say "you get what you pay for!!". Get one because the only time my wife smiles is when she is driving it so it must be good
