Lift the floor panel on the passenger side foot well, remove the 4x10mm bolts holding it in place. The ECU is the largest of the metal boxes under there. Remove the 3x10mm screws holding the ecu in place. CAREFULLY remove the connector by unscrewing the 10mm bolt and gently pulling the connector at the same time - DON'T pull it by the wires. Find the following pins on the connector:

Pin 29 for the RHS sensor

Pin 55 for the LHS sensor

These are the feeds for the guage. You can also use a switch if you want to toggle between the two. Be carefull when replacing the plug in the ecu, pushing it gently as you tighten the screw - the screw should only be finger tight...

Don't forget to disconnect the battery when working on the car either ;)

Bloody el', done this before then andy???

Whats an air/fuel gauge?????

Yeah LOL :D

A/F guage simply shows what your O2 sensors are reading, effectively the air/fuel ratio in the combustion chambers... TBH they aren't a lot of use with stock sensors on the Z32, due to the sensor being of the narrow band type. Basically, narrow band sensors don't have a very big range across the possible a/f ratio's and also they are relatively slow....

Ah I see, so in comparison to this, is the apexi AFC-R any good?

I was gonna buy one of these?

I tak eit this does a similiar job but allows greater flexibility??? :?

Two different things entirely m8! The Apexi unit actually allows you to adjust the air fuel ratio - it does this by fooling the ecu into thinking there's more/less air going into the engine than there actually is, therefore forcing it either richer/leaner... The a/f guage on the other hand, simply gives you an idea of the mixture....
