caught on camera!

My friendly police constable wrote to me this morning wanting to know my details for an intended prosecution of EXCESS SPEED (well fancy that?) in a variable 60mph zone on the M25 at 22.34 near colnbrook.

My beef is that the M25 was freeflowing with only light traffic (it's 10.30 at night) . absolutely no reason for any speed restriction to be in place. After previous similar nights, same time, same place, same restriction, same absence of traffic, I ignored it.

Can I require the police to provide just cause why the restriction was in place. Or prove that the system was not a) faulty b) being tested c) left on to catch motorists and make even more money for the chancellor?

Any lawyers out there?

Mate, like seeing a fox with one foot trapped in a man trap!

Check out ukspeedtraps.co.uk, they've got a legal advice section on there. You put in the details for your given situation and they will give you some advice...hence...legal advice...LOL!

Later mate

;-)

P.S. Get in touch with a specialist "traffic offence" brief!

I believe I've read about people getting off those if the police aren't able to prove that there was due cause for the restriction being in place.

Contest it in court.. We all should anyway..

Down with the system! Ahem.. sorry smile.gif
