Has anyone been able to buy the rear lower control arm ball joint- the one that fits into the underside of the wheel bearing housing. I know that it is possible to buy the complete arm- but it’s very expensive (£182 + VAT). I have tried Mike at MJP, but he is unable to supply just the ball joint. I know that "Moog" can supply the same item for the 240SX, which looks exactly the same. Perhaps they may even be able to supply the correct part, but I have been unable to find out- so far!

Shouldn't this be in Help and Advice section?

As far as I know, the arms on the s13 and z32 are the same, so the ball joint as well I guess. The only difference I know of is that the sx also has a conical ball seat, wich sitts into the aluminium axle (s13-steel).

I don't know why they used this seat, maybe to protect the aluminium  .

Correction: I said 'the sx has a...' but it must say 'the zx has a...'.

Thanks for the information, I know that the ZX hub will fit the SX lower arm- using the tapered steel insert. I’m almost certain that the parts are the same, but I’m still waiting for an answer from Moog.

It might be cheaper to buy an s13 lower arm from an sxoc.com member (junkyard might be more expensive), it (s13)weighs less so the bushes might be in better condition as well :)
