So let's just say for the sake of it that the 300 was never conceived, what other jap car would you buy? Forget about money here, more of a fantasy Jap car league if you like.

Although we own Z's I'm sure we would want a whole stable yard full like the Sultan of Brunei! LOL

Hmmm, which one will I drive today to Spar for a pint of milk and some fags (Mike Groves would be going for fags, anyone else just the pint of milk LMFAO) ;) :)

Yes but the Z350 is just a two seater and no good for taking little Jilly and Johnny to school. I think Nissan shot themselves in the foot here because the 2+2 version of all previous Z's has out sold the 2 seaters in UK. To the point that the 300ZX was only ever offered as a 2+2 in UK.

Ahh, but then, somehow the Z32 carries off the body extension nicely, whereas previous Z 2+2s, i.e. 260 and 280 were the ugly sisters.

I think the idea was to produce a genuine attempt at a *fairly* uncompromising sports car ... I don't think the 350 shell would look good with an extra bubble, a la RX-8, which IMO is a complete dog's dinner of a car. :D

It's also worth remembering that the US (which is their biggest market) has very few (if any, not sure) 2+2 300s, I guess they all have at least one other great big mutha to take the kids around in.

Also, Mark, the facts do not bear out the "shoot in the foot" argument. Nissan has sold every 350 it's brought here so far - in fact it's now the most numerous Z incarnation on UK roads, and should you order one today, you'd be lucky to get it this year. Personally, I hope they continue to keep the allocation low!! :hyper:

Just a few reasons ....

The G35 Skyline is the 2+2 body of the Z350 and is much nicer looking than the Z350 in my opinion. So you wouldn't catch me ordering a Z350 in a million years as I think it very ugly. Besides My next sports car will be a Noble GTO 3 400R.

Well, that's your opinion and your entitled to it. It's wrong, of course, but then I would say that, wouldn't I?? :D:D :p

I too would enjoy a Noble GTO 3 400R, it is without a shadow of a doubt a fantastic machine, but one or two things do worry me ...

1. It's 56 grand .. which is a fair amount of money by anyone's standards.

Although, more importantly:

2. I do think they may have limited their market as there's no back-seat!

Look forward to seeing it when you get it though!!

It won't be this year unless I have a big lotto win as I've just booked my car into Grasshoper for what will be with price of parts I'm supplying on top about a £8,000 bill

I really do not like the G35, It really is TOO Renault for me

I think thats Tims point about the Z350 and the G35 is just the 2+2 version.

OK the grill, front and back lights are different, but the last time I spoke to Andy Middlehurst he said there has been talk of releasing it in the UK with Z350 lights and grill as the Z350 2+2 and supercharged 370BHP

I could even change my mind then
