The 350 is bloody great, so it cannot POSSIBLY be anything to do with those cheese-eating surrender monkeys, regardless of who signs the payroll cheques at Nissan.

I agree mate, the 350Z is a nice car, but I only had 10 positions for the poll and seeing as it was my thread I chose! Tough luck bud, LOL :) :)

 

Oh and by the way, I have seen more RX-8's than Z's and I live in Wales FFS! So I think Mazda are onto a good thing....I do like them....went to our local dealers a while back to check them out but the Mrs. T was more impressed with the Chrysler Crossfire which I have to admit for the price is pretty cool!

The Supra is a great car but boring to drive - no drama with it like the ZX.

Love the NSX and R33 GTR, but if I can only pick one car to live with day in day out then my vote goes to the Impreza Type 25.

i did want to get a r33/gtr,gts but looked at this forum and wanted a z straight away,this website has the best bunch of people of all the forums imo :p which is important with a technical car like the z,so skyline if there wasent a zed

I think most of it's down to performance to be honest. Yeah the Skyline is not the nicest looking motor, but if you buy one I think you are buying more for performance than looks.

 

If I had my way I would have both a Z and Skyline (like most people on here I am sure).

Done the R33 GTR bit realize quite early on that to get the entertainment value I rquired The speeds I was entering and exiting corners would soon lead to my demize. So I'd go for the Supra followed by the NSX followed by the RX7. 4 Wheel drive is for puffs :rofl:

 

Mind you I wouldn't go for one of those hairdresser mobiles, Mr oow how are you. I can do a loverly wash and blow :slap:

There's two reasons for that, I think, after conversations about it with both dealers during test drive and from discussions over on the RX8 forum...

 

1) Mazda realised that a car under 25k with that kind of performance AND handling AND four doors AND various USPs (doors, Wnakel) would sell well in the UK, so they actually built some before running any ads. Nissan physically don't have any cars to sell anyway, even if they were more popular.

 

2) People seem to be buying RX8s because of the above, and in competition with things like Audis and the 3-series, and NOT because they are Jap performance buyers in general, or even performance buyers in general. The 350, conversely, is selling to Zedders and JPM readers and not many other people, and only competes with the TT, the 8, and the Crossfire.

 

That's quite suprising to me though, because the RX has to be driven properly to get the best of it - the 350 would be much better at farting around town because it has low-down torque.

 

The Crossfire is a fat wallowing American lump with all the worst bits of a Merc and 10% more expensive than either of the others. And the cabin is horrible.

Yes but the Z350 is just a two seater and no good for taking little Jilly and Johnny to school. I think Nissan shot themselves in the foot here because the 2+2 version of all previous Z's has out sold the 2 seaters in UK. To the point that the 300ZX was only ever offered as a 2+2 in UK.

 

Just looking at this pole and wondering about all the people voting for the R33/34 GTR skyline. How many of you have driven one of these or had a chance to live with one for anytime.
