Bleedin' HICAS

Will I need to bleed the HICAS system as I am replacing the Power Steering Pump? Or will just bleeding the P/S System be sufficient?

 

Hope someone can help...

    Theoretically yes, but...

     

    I didn't discover the HICAS bleeding procedure until

    I messed with the HICAS rods this year.

    I pulled the engine last year and disconnected

    the oil lines feeding the actuator.

    Whe I bled the system, there weren't many bubbles there at all.

    Somehow the air must have gone around the system with the oil.

     

    I would recommend you to bleed the HICAS though...just for peace of mind.
