right ill try to describe this one best i can,

jap cars come into the uk with klm clock dials, the import guys remove the klm face, put a mph one on and attach a black box to the back of the speedo to calibrate it.

The american zeds have mph speedo but only go up to 160mph (ours are 180mph)

can we get one of those black calibration box's that attach to the back of the clocks that convert the uk 180mph to 160mph dial face???

the only reason i ask is that i bought some indiglo white face dials from the usa and they look fantastic in the car and are real good quality, the faces are in 160mph (i did know this before ordering but was prepared to ignore the clock face, there not to ''out'' until 70ish)

hope that all makes sense

If you look at your speedo you will see two blue potentiometers that you can adjust. These are for calibration adjustment. I guess if you adjust them correctly you should be able to recalibrate the needle movement to the 160mph face.

Afraid there isn't a write up it's just something I experimented with when converting my km/h clocks to mph. It's a bit difficult to explain but essentialy one pot adjusts the needle deflection range i.e. if your speedo reads 25MPH when travelling at 25MPH but reads 70MPH when travelling at 80MPH you need to adjust this pot.

If your speedo reads high or low by the same amount at all speeds you need to adjust the other pot. The pots are located on the speedo PCB.
