Is it nearly better mate? :x:

What other DIY mechanic injuries have we had between us lot hehe? Apart from scraped knuckles lol...

The trapped face in the window is my only painful zed incident I think, and that was whilst parking it I leant on the one touch up button , but that was fine by the afternoon :D

Oh yeah and cheers for sending the locking wheel nut mate, it arrived safely

I did my rear light conversion 3 weeks ago now, I burnt my finger tips, they blistered up this weekend and the skin dropped off.

recently a clip bounced out of the wheel arch cover and hit me in the eye and as i pulled away i whacked my head on the brake disc which left a bruise for a few days.

most painful experience ive had though is when I got paint stripper in my eye,

LOL, Good one MIke

I had a similar one to yours, While taking the wheels off to sort out the brakes on my old Cossie :x: , I placed the wheel nuts on the floor, I knelt down straight on one of the wheel nuts then i got up very quickly and smacked my head on the door mirror. It left a nice cut on my forehead and a nut shaped divet in my knee!!!

Rich:D

I dislocated my thumb just the other weekend on Stu's car. Still a bit sore now actually Mr Waterman! lol. We were both having a fight with the front wheel after the locking wheel nut wasn't playing game.

OMG

My worst incident was when i was changing the clutch, i had the gearbox balanced on one little jack, which it decided to roll off of ontop of me. I was lying there under the car, gearbox ontop of me, and bloody transmision fluid pooring all over my legs.

About half an hour later though someone came in the garage and after getting his pies out of the freezer, gave me a hand. Sweeet.

I bent me left thumb right back changing intake pipes... I'll put the bloody things in the oven first next time! Not dislocated but it was definitely weaker for a few days...

No other injuries but I did leave the car a couple of hours between changing the fuel pipes and the actual filter, and forgot to undo the petrol cap again when I came back to do the filter. So of course when I pulled those pipes off vapour pressure had built up again and petrol shot out when I undid the clip! :nelson:

Recently replaced lifters on my car and while me and my mate were looking over the engine just b4 removing camshaft sprockets ...he said whatever you do ...do not turn said sprockets as they can jump on the cam.....so about a few mins later i was on the o/s of the car, and he said look at this pcv pipe, i leaned under the bonnet but foolishley put my hand on top of sprocket it turned and dragged my hand down between the two.

Lets just say the pain was REAL however hard we tried we could not remove it,he said try to pull your hand out between the front of wheels...i guess some of you have seen how tight this gap is but after about 45 secs my hand was free.

Even good ol Linford Christie would have caught me on the 3 laps of the garage i did.

On the up side i had a perfect railway track type wound about 3½ long up one side of my hand for about 4 days which was a good talking point up the pub

cheers [owch]

Dave
