I've had this loads mate, theres alot of crap being circulated on there now, theres rumoures it's record companies doing it to disuade people from using it. Everytime i want to download something off there i end up downloading 10 copies to get a good one.

Yes it's a new technology, many cd's you buy now u can't burn now, as u get that stupid noise.

The music publishers put false songs on Kazaa on perpose, making it harder to find the song you want.

Some times you get 10 seconds and then noise or sometimes 10 seconds and then silence and I have seen some songs where its just the chorus over and over.

Its not a problem with Kazaa.

Or DC++ :bow:

its part industry circlulating crap and people making crap for a joke.

As for not being able to copy cd's its against the law to stop people from being able to make backup copies.

but failing that, goto http://www.tucows.com and get some of the cd editig gear on there.

as for kazaa I would be more woried about the hidden spywhere they plant

Thats why you should use Kazaa lite, it has no spyware.

There is no where in the law which says it is your legal right to copy a CD and there is no law saying it is illegal to make a CD which is not copyable.

You could say you need a backup of a CD when you need to use it all the time. But nowadays programs install onto the HDD and you dont need the CD again. You should store it safely.

Kazaa does install spyware. If you realy want to not take my word on this and test it out the hard way you can do this.

Format you drive, load your system bare. install if not already done so (Unix and XP pro, have port activity programs as standard). Run port activity to see if any program you run snoops off elseware. Install Kazaa with its no spyware guarente.

Watch you monitor program go nuts sending info out when ever you use it or mail etc.

And if you still want to argue it with me there is plenty of info on the net as to what files are changed and how to get rid of them.

just because your spyware and virus software cant find then dont mean to say they arnt there guys.

He said kazaa lite, not kazaa, it's a different program. I personally use overnet tho.

i have no probs with kazaa lite either. much safer to use than kazaa also.

Me too not a single hitch

 :xxx:

Kazaa Lite is slowly being shut out and eradicated by Sherman Networks. See here. So he will not be able to instal Kazaa LITE as you so helpfully point out bec not only is it difficult to find on websites, but the client will no longer be able to connect soon. He could try DietK, but not sure how that works.

Bit Torrent - It's not great for single songs but more for downloading complete albums. Great if you want US TV before it gets here! Keeps my Sopranos addiction under control!

PMSL But Stu said again and again to install it:D;)

This place cracks me up.

Kazaa lite may be phased out but it still works now. It either have spyware infested Kazaa or Kazaa lite with no spyware for how long it will last. Personally I think they will see a dramatic drop in the users when the server Kazaa lite connects to is blocked.

Kazaa lite wasnt an official relase, it was Kazaa where some one took out all the spyware code. It wont be long until some one does it again.

I use winmx, not as much stuff on there as kazaa, but so far as i know theres no spyware.

Me too not a single hitch

Me neither, especially with grade -A- PORN! LMFAO
