The insurance company had said the will payout £3700 for my Zed.

Is that a fair price?, they first was going to give only £3400 for it.

Nope, they owe you more than that. Collect some Autotrader ads and submit them with your next letter!

Late last summer I got 3700 for a 90 import NA Auto so I agree that you should be looking for more. I had to sit with a big pile of autotrader adds and work up from the 1700 they wanted to start at :eek:

UK cars in good condition fetch premium prices. 85k miles is also low for an h reg. If the car was in good condition you should expect at least £5000 - there are average imports going for that in Auto Trader. As mentioned, try to find adverts for similar cars and use this to support your arguement to the insurance co.

 

Just try to find a replacement UK zx in good condition with low miles for £3700 :(

G reg UK TT Auto, 82k £5k insured for, paid out 5k minus excess...

 

What did you insure the car for?

 

As said by the rest of the guys, just get an autotrader - Job done!!!

Tell them to suck your rocket.

 

You want £5k for that and not a penny less.

Lets all advertise our zeds for £50,000 in Autotrader......then split the profit!!!

 

Then again by the time we'd paid autotrader for all the ads, there would be no profit left!!!!
