Just thought I'd let you all know about the service I had yesterday at Silvia Engineering. I went there for my 330 mm AP racing disks and when I arrived they found that they'd been sent the wrong disks. Instead of sending me away again, Peter himself drove up to Birmingham to get the right disks for me. It was really important to me to get them done this week as I'm driving to Le Mans on Friday so this service was hugely appreciated.

 

Just thought it deserved a mention.

 

And if anyone else is planning to go to Silvia in the near future - check out the gorgeous blue 300ZX convertible - converted from NA to TT, auto to manual, normal body to VERY WIDE body ! Gorgeous.

that is pretty good service Dave, i have to admit, although no more than should be expected, depending on how far in advance you had booked the work :-)

 

So, erm, regarding this convertible Z, why did you not have your camera with you when you went to Silvia ? Surely there are always points of interest when you visit... just joking

 

I admire your faith in the work though, if you are planning on driving to Le Mans on newly installed componenets, without any break in period.

Yes, I agree it is what should have been done but there are many places who would not be prepared to put themselves out like this because a supplier had failed them.

 

I should have managed to knock up about 250 miles before tomorrow morning when I leave for Le Mans. I'll need to take it easy for the drive down there but the drive home is going to be BIG fun !

Le Mans was AWESOME - we have GOT to have a Z parade down there next year.

 

And, Craig, didn't forget the camera but couldn't get it from the family in time who are using it to photograph my new nephew.

 

Sorry - but there were others there with cameras so hope to get some pics up on my site eventually.
