Cant see anyone trying that. People buy these kind of cars because they want performance - not economy.

Besides, at 80mph, I can get the same mpg as the wifes rover 416sli !!! That's good enough for me!

fkin ell, better get that rover tuned.

I asked a place about doing this... they said there'd be big problems fitting all the required bits under the bonnet. I think it was the condensor(?) they were saying is quite a big bit of kit. The cheap systems basically cut off the fuel injectors and shove LPG in at the throttle bodies... which isn't exactly ideal. The expense, the hassle, and the extra weight (big tank in the boot?!) probably add up to it being unrealistic. Do a search around the forum tho. This has been discussed before.

the gas is cheaper but will cause a 10% drop in performance and in the MPG. It is also debateable whether they are better for the environment. Gas is cheaper now but I feel after the 2005 rule of fixed tax on gas ends the price will go up.

They never made a diesel version of the 300zx for a reason, its a performance car.

It would be nice to be able to flick a switch so you could run around on chicken sh1t power when on the motorway etc, but i think the initial expense, extra weight and long term hassle would outweigh any slight gan in economy you may get.

If you really, really need to fit a bottle of gas to your car try some nos, it will cost about the same but have a much bigger smile factor!!!!!!
