If I drive my car from cold all is well untill about 20mins into the drive the boost will cut to around 6psi if I switch the car off and let it stand for around 20mins then restart the car is fine untill it warms up again, does this sound like a ptu prob?? I have the standard series 1 unit fitted

sounds more like a detonation/sensoe problem

didn't you repair your det sensor harness a while ago? if it throw up a code 34 it would indicate a problem in that harness or the sensor itself.

I have no diagnostic gear to check with, Ive seen there is a link to this check with out it I cant find it though! would the ecu not stay in this safety mode untill it was reset? I did find a break it the det wire I have resoldered that together its had a new sensor fitted too

Sounds like it's going into safety boost - an ECU diag will tell you why!

OR you've got a dicky temp sensor so once the car goes into warm running it gets hopelessly confused?

thanks I'll give it a try and see what it comes up with, I'll put money down it the most expensive and awkward part to replace
