Raising The Idle!

ok Ive just fitted an alarm with auto-remote engine-start. the problem is that the Zed usually gets a little "left foot squirt" on start up but when the remote starts it with me obviously posing whilst walking up to the car(!!!) there is no throttle and sometimes it doesnt rev high enough to hold the start. Any way of turning the idle up a little??

The engine should start and run fine without having to touch the throttle. Have you tried cleaning the throttle bodies and idle valve assembly???

no I havent. easy job?

It will start but its just as if the idles JUST that bit too low initially to hold a good start. Sometimes it holds it, evening out after a few seconds but about 30% of the time it fails to hold the idle. once running it idles fine, albeit maybe a little lower than Id have thought.

Very easy job - just buy a load of carb cleaner and pull off the intake pipes and clean away. The idle valve is left of the battery - a short rubber pipe that you undo and squirt cleaner in though there to loosen the crap up.
