Im hoping but not holding my breath, that someone will give me an alternative to what I already suspect. All help & comments VERY gratefully recieved before I pay out large bills for the Turbo job...
I have a '91 ZX tt auto and when I first fire her up if I leave her running she will start smoking blue, leaving me thinking TURBO's NEED DOING (aaarrrgg!!) HOWEVER upon driving off she clears totalluy and when running around and even booting there is no smoke. When I leave her Idling AFTER a run she will happily sit for three or more minutes and NOT smoke. YET EVERY time I start her and let her idle the smoke appears. Under harsh accelleration she boosts well with no hesitation and no smoke. After a few days driving I ALWAYS have little oily spits like a fine dust over the rear valance. IS IT THE DREADED SEALS or could it be something else?
If it IS the seals anyone had a good result for a cheap source for both turbos and the actual job itself.
