Well.. the Z is sold.

So, thanks to everyone for all the help I've had from you all during the 6 years I've had her.

You really are a great bunch on here.

I was watching it being driven off down my drive thinking 'oh my god oh my god.. have I done the right thing'.

who am I kidding.. I'm still thinking that!

All the best. If anyone sees my pearl yellow Z with it's 3 spoke super advan racing alloys, give it a wave.. the guy looked like he'd give it a good home.

you sure youve got the right forum mate!! ?? ;)

Even though youve sold it doesnt mean you have to stop comming on here though.

So, when's the Tuscan arriving Stu?

Tim

Well.. still looking. Could have one by end of bank holiday next weekend...3 likely candidates.

Not rushing into it. The replacement will also be staying with me for 6+ years hopefully, so I'm waiting for the right one. It has a big set of boots to fill.

Wish you well with the TVR - great car - very different. I did test drive one not long after they came out, tons of power but they shake like mad when you wait by the lights!!!

Good luck,

Geoff.

  • 2 weeks later...

well. If anyone is interested, got the tuscan on tuesday. Incredible thing.

I thought it wouldn't be that noticably quicker than the Z, but it's a different league of speed. Quicker than my fireblade...even in wet (compared to blade in dry).

Still driving it like my grampa at the moment. Was taken out by owner in pissing

rain for demo drive... he took it up to 165mph in about 1 mile of dual carraigeway..

round a corner, up hill... brown adrenalin was flowing. He then proceeded to

stamp his foot on the brake and nearly cause my eyes to pop out my head

with the braking force... in the wet. Unbelievable acceleration. Unbelievable grip..and

this was in the wet. I just didn't think cars could be so quick.. sounds a bit over

stated, but it's like F1 quick. 0-100-0 is 12 seconds. F1 car is 8.5 so same ball

park. Frightening. Not that I'd ever drive it like that. Bloke was a nutter.

So, still sorry to lose the 300zx, but hello Miss Tuscan.

been a passanger in a tusc one once going round an old airfield at about 150. tho i love TVRs i have to admit it wasnt as brill as i thought. then i climbed into a gtr34 doing 180 and sh*t myself!!!

wish you well with the TVR, sure you will be thrashing the nads off it soon enough :)

Stu,

Sorry to hear that mate, saw you a few times while I was working at BT in Ipswich, twas a nice motor! Shame you, me and Simon (WillyEd) never got together for a beer.

Well, the guy 3 houses down from me has your old zed (Telford) the one with PIL on the number plate. Had a look at it the other day nice motor, and I can say he is the sort of bloke who will take good care of it, he is totaly in love with the thing. He has taken the racing harness out though.
