I believe the fan belt is just a bit longer than req! so removed crescant shaped bracket on altenater and slightly elongated it inside to add a little extra adjustment now all ok :hyper:

hope yours goes to plan

cheers

Is there enough adjustment left for when the belt stretches over the next 100 miles or so ?

do ribbed belts actually stretch ?

I presume there must be a little bit if 'give' in them. I had to tighten one of my new belts after a few weeks, maybe it was just because it wasn't quite tight enough to start with.
