sony cd changer standard fitment on tt ?

Under me armrest thingy there a sony cd changer controller,all wired up but no changer in boot !.

 

1) Is the contoller a factory fitting ? , looks like it ..

2) What cd changer works with it ?

Don't think it was a factory fitment.

 

A lot of imports I looked at had this, though so I guess it was a popular mod in Japan that worked with the stock stereo.

 

Best bet is probably to replace the whole thing with a new head unit/changer combo.

 

That would be compatible with UK radio bands/RDS and a damn site cheaper than trying to locate a specific model of changer.

I've got that system as well. I'll get the changer part no. for you tomorrow(it's too dark at the moment). It's a Sony changer, the head unit is probably compatible with most older Sony type changers.

thanks,I have a sony cd in the dash just now,but would like to try and source the original changer to make it complete,its a waste of time it being there and not getting used :)..
