Here's a question for all you knowledgeable types out there, it looks like my 300 twin turbo, that I bought in good faith, was a very poorly repaired insurance write-off, and muggings here thought he was dealing with a genuine enthusiast when he bought it. It turns out that the damage to my car since hitting a kerb may have been a blessing in disguise because the n/s chassis leg had been replaced, and not very well. So, getting round to my question, I have been offered a 300zx non-turbo, reasonably cheap, and considering swapping my engine, etc, into the non-turbo. Can this be done? Has it been done? what sort of works involved? At the moment it seems a bank loans out of the question due to other financial commitments, and I dont want to stretch myself too far, but if this swap cant be done, I wiil have to bite the bullet!!!!!

No reason why you cant do it, if you keep the rear subframe and diff off the NA, then it is basically an engine/gear box change and some bits like intercoolers (with the NA rear end, you can junk the hicas and keep the NA power steering set up) Will be a fair bit of work, but not as much as converting the NA engine to a TT

it can be done, speak to Mark (Topless) who has put a TT into a NA convertable (after about 2 years :D).
