have just had my cats and centre box removed from the blue meanie and bloody hell :dance: :dance: what a difference i nearly shot me bolt :x: when i accelerated for the first time lovely deep throaty roar, and the gurgle when you are just pootling is fantastic.

 

just got to wait for the smoke to start now!! :(

so can you really notice the difference in power or just a bit?

no there is a distinct difference in the time taken for the power to be transferred from the pedal to the tyres.

Yeah, it does make a difference, but watch out for the smoke - mine started straight after they were gutted :(

Sorry to hijack speedfreak but by decatting did they replace just the cat boxes or the whole pipework?

cat boxes, and the box directly behind them. cost 170 squid, expensive but its a pukka job they took ages getting the replacement piece long enough and flared out to just the right amount.

is urs a tt mines an NA im gettin my cats out shortly i also considered the boxes too but the exhaust man i spoke too said it wudnt make it sound any diff cos there straight thru to start with.

this is the balance box just after the cats. took it out cos it was fooked so thought might as well just remove it as I have got 2 back boxes anyway so..

 

dunno about sound cos it all came out in one ie no comparison with just removing cats
