Just been to Longlife for my exhaust fitting, now I asked for a 'downpipe' back system with a permenant decat. Now can somebody please explain what they would class as the 'downpipes'? please use this as reference for me -

    The down pipes are the bits that the cat pipes bolt on to - not shown on that diagram - its the next bit closest to the engine....

    Ok so the black arrow is where the downpipes are? A downpipe back system would be from there back right? What I have is from the red lines back, the cat boxes are gone but the cat pipes are still there. Is this wrong?

    TBH thats pretty much a DP back system - there's no extra silencers in front of the cats so......

    Even if I asked for a downpipe back system? should I argue it as the pipes from cats forward are knackered and I wanted them replacing with S/S. If I asked for a D/P back system should I have got from the black arrow back?

    basically you should have had everything if you asked for a downpipe back, they could argue that they thought you meant FROM the downpipes back rather than a full system including downpipes.

     

    they have just replaced mine and the work was quality so if i was you I would go back and discuss it with em... got to be worth a try

    I asked for a downpipe back system but im still unsure of exactly what is classed as the 'downpipes' in my eyes it was from the black arrow back. Where exactly do the 'downpipes' end and the rest start? If im wrong then I accept it but if not...

    best thing to do if you can is get it on a ramp and take a pic of it bit of a PITA i know but at least we could see what the prob is??
