http://elephant.co.uk were by far the cheapest for me. They even insured it as an import but I had to phone up. I'm 25 full no claims, 3 points, and live in Surrey. Car 1990 TT, Custom exhaust and Stillen Induction. Total Cost £918.00. Previously other quotes were arround the £1300 mark.

Hope this helps

They also insure imports, but don't usually like mods on them. However, I have been insured with them for a year and as my renewal is due I enquired whether I could get a stainless exhaust. They said yes, but policy goes up about £43 and about the same for an air filter change. So perhaps it's only new business that they are fussy about, once they've got you in their clutches they are more understanding.

So this could solve my insurance probs and allow me to sort the tired looking exhaust and perhaps get a nice air filter ...
