I was originally going to order the kit off ebay, but after reading the post yesterday i have been put off.

So i'm going to have ago myself.

If anyone has got any instructions or tips i would be very greatfull.

But i do have a concern on the door cards how do you get it to wrap around the end of the door as its a right angle, all kit manufactures use stitching but i'm affraid i can't do that so what is my alternative.

Also is there any other tricky party surely in places the material would pucker up how do you get around this.

Thanks

Everyone has made such a good job of their interiors, but i'm not any good at that sort of thing, (give me a computer then i'm happy) I'll make such a mess of it but i'm going to give it ago.

Wish me good luck.

i'll be needing it.

If I can do it so can you! I give anything a try and if it doesnt work then so what!:D its not too hard, just dont aim for perfection. Mines not 100% perfect but it looks a 100% better!

Yeah, justy take your time and it's a piece o'piss!!

I would recommend a willing bird/mate to give you a hand. An extra pair of hands to hold bits is very useful.

Totally agree here! Girlfriend did the hard work while I just glued bits and pieces;)

So, just to confirm a few points as I fancy giving this a go now!

Would you think leather will be more difficult to work with but would look better?

Take tweed off all panels except cente console lid and doors?

swede would look sweet but probably would be very difficult to keep clean.

I know not everyones choice but i'm going for a cream Leather Look.

If you look on http://www.300zx-mods.co.uk he has come up with some very nice cheap finishing touches such as halfords wire for pipping it looks very convincing and would never notice. But looks fantastic.

Leather would look better I reckon yeah but its probably not as easy to stretch into all the silly shapes you need, Just spent 5 hours doing the drivers door...their a joke to do! As for the tweed, I only left the door panels on, the rest I took off including the lid.

Good luck james:)

Thanks.........as always - will post pics as I go!

Yep I also took the tweed off of everything except the door & rear side panels.

Good luck Jimbo.
