Have any of you guys had to have welding done due to exessive corrosion i.e. inner wings, sills etc

I thinks that Stuart (SRRAE) has had his sills done.

Yeah I had my sills done! Local small bodyshop did the work for me £350 (mates rates though). That included refabricating the whole of the inner and outer sills - inner sills are essential to the rigidity of the car. Now my rear arches are dead too, along with an MOT failure on a corroded and cracked from cross brace - nice LOL Cross brace I'll do myself but I don't touch bodywork. When I spoke to Mike @ MJP he mentioned he is going to be doing replacement sills (inner/outer) and wheel arches - there's probably more I just can't remember lol. He said these should be out in the near future ;)

PS When you get the sills replaced, ensure they give a good coat of protection inside once they're fitted - this should protect them for the rest of their working life :)

I've just finnished welding mine both rear arches baddly wrotten, rear seals parts of the floor pan! its the black under seal protection that makes it worse, if you get the welding done paint over it all with waste oil and grease.

I'd check the fuel filler pipe too mine was badly pitted

I bought a replacement outer rear arch from the Zcentre very well made too
