he sending me some more paper work about it and he will do a group buy for the club as a 1 off

not shaw on prices about 1k-2k fitted

i forgot to say he does not have a kit for the zed he needs a zed to go in for the work first and then he can do a full kit to sell of the shelf

Ok found it,these guys have done some mag feature stuff latley,very impressive, they can supply the kit for £500 or do a supply and fit for £1000,seems that there are two sorts available,anyhow,sorry late getting info could not find the mag,

Theres already been a discussion about this.

 

'Fas' is the man to talk to for any info, he has done loads of research on this and apparently theres a problem in that the doors of a zed are too frickin heavy!

 

Dont know whether this has been resolved yet, PM him and check if ur still interested! ;)

These hinges which are done have been made around small-medium sized cars!

 

If you look at most of the Show cars that have Lambo doors the chances are they have been done by Turismo Bodystyling!

 

The problem is the Zed doors weighs so much and the hinge in my opinion and a few others who have dealt with these kits agree that they will cause major hassle when opening and closing sooner or later! What where trying to do now is to get a Hinge and try to reinforce it to make it able to withstand the weight of the Zed door!

 

If your gonna be using your Zed regularly then id advise to leave it and wait for something better to come along like i am! If you can handle the stress and time then go for these! Iv only ever seen 1 Zed with lambo doors and that is the swedish Zed which he did himself apparently!

fas you seem to be the man about this after speaking to the boss he seems to know his stuff on this and you should give him a call about the kit hes not cheap but if he is giving liftime warrtanty there no proplems as its them who have to fix it

but he seems to think the door weight should not be a problem with his product

iam going down in the summer to see about this kit when i get my hydrolics sorted out for the car. :dance: jumping zed

You do realise that if you get hydraulics your handling is gonna become really bad!

 

Anyway back to the topic!

 

I dont wanna pay 2k to get lambo doors as i think that is far to much in my opinion! If the kit is 1k and is easy to fit without major self modifications i might consider it!

 

The problems that i have seen when fitting these hinges is unbelievable with doors slamming down and scraping underneath by the footwell! The door not closing properly, i dont have the time to keep going back so not until i see a reliable kit with a decent price im not gonna purchase 1! Im gonna wait and see what becomes available in time! In the meanwhile ill spend the money elsewhere!

Also has he fitted a kit to a Zed before, because if he hasint and yours is the first expect it to go wrong!

 

Hes gonna be making constant adjustments to get it perfect as hes never done it b4!

as for hydrolics sorry my mistake its the air bag kit what tattoo man is having done

iam waiting to see the results of his kit fitted and iam getting mine booked in for a bit of air

my mate had it done to a nissan sunny gtir and handerling was still very good and he did track days with it

Well i can guarantee this, if he hasint done it b4 he is gonna have trouble installing it 1st time without any glitches!

 

Its not as easy as people say!

I spoke to this guy at Donnie and I thought it was a lot of money so I walked away, they also do a remote control lambo door system on hydraulics, its a nice idea but I could not believe how long that the door takes to open (About 45-50 Seconds NO BULL****) I thought bugger that its way too slow especially when your in a rush.
